For those who aren't familiar with the benefit of first impression, first impression is about creating the right foundation on a big house. Everything must be solid and on the right place. With this we can create the any great structure on the top of it. Hence we human tend to judge and giving everything based on our hypothetical bias. To generate first impression and being the likeable person ultimately "seal the deal on business" it is one of the most powerful tool.


It's proven that in every organism which want to reproduce to attract each other mate by attracting most attention which judge by the first impression. The first impression have a big role if the other significance will be right candidate to have a ancestry. This is the same concept as business, when someone want to have a healthy business they have to choose the right partner to help them achieve that state. The process of choosing and assessing business partner have been decided up to 80% by the first impression whether it may or may not become a deal.


To generate the excellent first impression we can manipulate and fulfill them lot’s of variable. From the pre meeting, during meeting and post meeting. Start by controlling the controllable factor until taming the uncontrollable factor. All will come in into one point where excellent assessment eventually be a fruitful into a business deal.


First thing first, we have to come on time during the meeting on the other unofficial term of client meeting. Punctuality basically is the must factor, we certainly must not make our client to wait. Arriving in time in some actually may become beneficial as our client can felt a bit guild making us to wait for them, but on if the deal is with some imperious client arriving just on time can make our first impression not to be over submissive, which meant making a deal without making us look as their bitch.





Then we have to know the social culture barrier, if certain things is favorable to do nor to do. Learn the tradition to avoid the unwanted behavior which create a bad impression. Then now the inner value of the culture not just the tradition but the value of which they assess people as competent or not then be that kind of person. This is example of HSBC bank about overcoming the social culture barrier.


Next be dominant or obedient on the right moment, if they want their problem to be solved be dominant and offer the way solve the problem. If we want to offer something to improve their business be obedient, listen and approve constantly, but give correction if their statement may hinder them from seeing benefit which we can give to them.

Finally, play mind on our nonverbal attitude try to be as close as possible with our client because people tend to like more if someone is similar with them, copy and mirroring. Also known as Rapport Building this is about mirroring their posture, their intonation, dialect, tempo, movement, and repeating their statement with impression of extreme agreement. Then try to bring up things in common or even pretend to like their hobby and give the give them gift that correlate with it, because human then to be in favor with someone if the gift is more deeply relate for them.




To sum up every tips we can do right away is about, stimulating the general 5 sense of man. From sight, smell, hearing and touch. As we go beyond those we can make them them like us mentally by punctual; know the culture and social barrier; be the person they need. Finally manipulate ourself to be similar as our client.
